Black Fella White Fella

Hello to those reading our blog :)
I'm Natsumi and I'll mainly focus on children's art.

So just a brief intro; I'm a student studying a Bachelor of Education degree at uni. Hence the reason why I'm interested in children's art! So to begin with, I thought it would be a great idea to share this brilliant book as.... the illustrators of this book are CHILDREN!

This book is called 'Black Fella White Fella' by Neil Murray illustrated by students from schools around Australia→ I love this part. Whenever we view children and their art, I am always facinated by what they already understand about the world in which they live. In this book, the children's artwork show their awareness of others and that, despite the many differences we have, we share more similarities, and that we are all the same. It's extraordinary.

We also know that children are very confident and involved learners and I hope you agree with me. The bright, sharp colours tell us they are not afraid to share what they know and want to present to others. I wonder if you have tried analysing children's artworks before- it's amazing to know what they have in their minds! They. Are. So. Creative.

Children pick up on so much and are very unique beings. It's exciting to learn about children and their art; you learn so much from them too!!!
